DECO-RATED

Story dated March 4, 2004

Fans of flipperless pinball will soon be able to hire these games for their parties.

Portsmouth-based company Deco Pinball is about to branch out into an entertainment hire business called Deco Amusements.  They will supply their hallmark flipperless pinball games from the 1930s and 1940s along with other amusement games to weddings, birthdays and other events.

Deco Pinball's Steve Tribe has already won an award from the Portsmouth Centre for Enterprise (part of Portsmouth University) for the new company.

Steve Tribe collects his award from Victoria Todd, Director of the National Campaign for the Arts.

Deco Pinball won a "highly commended" award and a cash prize donated by local companies towards the new venture as part of the Enterprise Challenge scheme.  Steve told Pinball News he will use the money to improve his computer system and develop the company's website.

Deco Amusements is expected to start taking bookings in the summer of this year.
