Him again, it's always him.
Daniele Acciari won the Spring Pinball Tournament, the tournament organized at the Enada pavilions - the annual amusement expo in Rimini.
Twenty players tried to qualify in the top eight on the five pinball machines; Fish Tales, Iron Man, Doctor Who, High Speed II: The Getaway and the new Stern, The Rolling Stones (shown in Italy for the first time).
After a day and half of playing, Acciari qualified in top position, followed by Mario Anzini, Nicola Pierobon and Davide Delprato.
The eight finalists were then placed in a head-to-head single elimination bracket with matches played as the best of 3 games.
Acciari defeated Federico Croci in the final in two games, while Valentino Trerè took third place.
The special guests who awarded the prizes to the winners were Gary Stern and Mauro Zaccaria, respectively owners of Stern Pinball and Tecnoplay.
For the occasion, IFPA Italia awarded two trophies to Daniele Acciari and Nicola Pierobon, the two top Italian players at the end of 2010 - rankings which permit them to represent Italy at the IFPA8 World Pinball Championship in Sweden at the end of May.
Tecnoplay also handed over the official uniforms to Acciari, Pierobon, Delprato and De Stefani, the four players who would comprise the Italian national 'Tecnoplay Team' at the European Pinball Championship in France a few days later.
A special thanks from IFPA Italia to: Tecnoplay and its representative Mauro Zaccaria, Stern Pinball and its president Gary Stern, and the Italian company Comesterogroup, sponsor of the tournament.
