PINBALL H.Q. |
Location: Corner Carr and Byron Streets, Coogee, NSW, Australia Report by John In November 2014, my wife and I took a trip to Australia (Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Cairns). Sydney was the first destination on our trip. We arrived at the pub on a hot afternoon following a one-hour journey on a public bus.
Not surprisingly, at that time of day we were the only guests.
The first thing to do is not play pinball, but order a glass of cold beer.
There was a total thirteen pinballs. First eight were located in a room at the right hand side, while another five were in an inner area of the pub. I was able to try each pinball one-by-one in a quiet atmosphere and without any interruptions.
The pinballs available were:
This was my first time seeing the Metallica Premium Road Case model.
It was very lucky and unbelievable that I could get the grand champion score on my first game of Who Dunnit. \(^o^)/
The cost per game is AUD2.0 and AUD5.0 for three games. It is absolutely good value for money if you take into account the condition of the pinballs.
It seems Pinball H.Q. is the base of a pinball club and league in Sydney and we could find the application forms inside the pub. If I were living in Sydney, I would definitely join this club and participate in the regular tournaments there.
