P.J. O'BRIEN'S |
Location: 87 Lake St, Cairns, Queensland 4870, Australia Report by John In November 2014, my wife and I took a trip to Australia (Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Cairns). Cairns was the fourth and final destination of our trip. P.J. O'Brien's Irish pub is located in the centre of the city of Cairns.
A Pirates of the Caribbean pinball (Stern, 2006) was located near the main entrance to the pub.
Although it was not mandatory for me to order a drink, I still purchased a glass of beer since it was enjoyable to have a cold beer during the summer.
I noted the 'Tournament Play' banner on the top of the backbox. However, the pinball was in acceptable condition. How can this pinball be used for tournament? The cost per game was only AUD1.0 (USD0.75/€0.67). There were three separate replay scores, therefore I could win three replays in a single game. I just used a single coin to play the pinball for more than two hours. In the end I needed my wife's help to exhaust all the credits.
This was the final pinball location of the whole trip. Here's some additional information about P.J. O'Brien's Irish pub:
