What you can win.

How to play and have fun.

You've got questions, we've got no idea, but we'll find out.

Welcome to the website for the UK Pinball Open - the tournament for individual players - and the UK Pinball Team Tournament for groups of four players. Both tournaments were run by Pinball News as part of the UK Pinball Show 2007.

The show took place on the 29th and 30th September 2007 at Wicksteed Park in Kettering, Northhamptonshire and further details of this and next year's show can be found on the show website.

The UK Pinball Open was a new tournament with a new format designed to find the best pinball players and promote competitive pinball in the UK.

The tournament began on Saturday 29th September at 11:00am with the qualifying round. Those competitors who qualified played on Sunday against pre-qualifiers from the UK Pinball League in the final rounds.

Tournament entry for the UK Pinball Open cost £5 for all players. Players registered at the tournament desk inside the show hall where they received their name badge and player number. They then played on six tournament machines and had their scores recorded and ranked against all other players.

The UK Pinball Team Tournament also took place on Saturday. To enter, players needed to be in a group of four and pre-registered which they did through this site.

Both the UK Pinball Open and the UK Pinball Team Tournament awarded WPPR points to the competitors, so they were both well worth competing in to advance your position, or to get that first foothold on the rankings ladder.

Not only that, but we were also accredited by Twin Galaxies, the official score keepers to ensure all scores were sent to the world record keepers for inclusion in their database and publications.

Finally, we also ran a tournament for the kids to make sure everyone had the chance to compete and have fun. The top prize for the Kids Tournament was a brand new Zizzle pinball machine.

To find out more about the 2007 tournaments and the rest of the UK Pinball Show 2007 please see the Pinball News report which includes all the tournament results and a video of the show.

We'll be back at the 2008 show with another UK Pinball Open Tournament, another Kids Tournament and a new format for the UK Pinball Team Tournament. Details will appear here nearer the show which will be held once again at Wicksteed Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 29th-31st 2008.

We look forward to seeing you there.

The UK Pinball Open Team.
