{"id":25755,"date":"2022-09-22T16:04:09","date_gmt":"2022-09-22T15:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/?p=25755"},"modified":"2022-09-22T18:42:12","modified_gmt":"2022-09-22T17:42:12","slug":"stern-officially-launches-james-bond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/2022\/09\/22\/stern-officially-launches-james-bond\/","title":{"rendered":"STERN OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES JAMES BOND"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After cancelling their earlier launch due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Stern Pinball today officially announced details of their latest <em>James Bond 007<\/em> cornerstone title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The George Gomez-designed game will initially come in three versions &#8211; the traditional Pro, Premium and Limited Edition models &#8211; with the Limited Edition restricted to 1,000 machines.  There will also be an even more super-limited 60th anniversary model designed by Keith Elwin featuring all the actors who have played James Bond and including all 25 films.  This will be limited to 500 machines with details released shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each of the three versions announced today is based on one of the classic Sean Connery-era James Bond movies.  The Pro is <em>Dr. No<\/em>, the Premium is <em>You Only Live Twice<\/em>, while the Limited Edition is themed around <em>Thunderball<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s Stern&#8217;s promo video:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"James Bond 007 Pinball Game Trailer\" width=\"850\" height=\"478\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NZ_mHCLTFmU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pictures of two of the models leaked earlier this month when the Pro and Premium machines were being set up at the IAPPA Europe trade show in London ahead of the opening.  The death of Queen Elizabeth II caused the launch and public reveal to be postponed, with the suggestion that it was the licensor who pushed for the delay in co-operation with Stern Pinball.
