Sweet Juicy Melons<\/em> was originally intended to be a short run of hand-built custom conversions of the game <em>Continental Cafe<\/em>, but as &#8216;<em>Sweet Juicy Melons<\/em>&#8216; became &#8216;<em>Big Juicy Melons<\/em>&#8216;, the potential for the game also grew.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/news\/whizbang-second-title\/118.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ImageBorder\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/news\/whizbang-second-title\/118.jpg\" alt=\"Dennis and Greg at Pinball Expo 2009\" width=\"400\" height=\"554\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dennis and Greg at Pinball Expo 2009<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In 2015 Stern Pinball began producing the game for the mass market. The now fully electronic game was cosmetically very similar to the original look of the prototype, but was fully lit by LEDs and used Stern&#8217;s new SPIKE control system.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/news\/whizbang-second-title\/8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ImageBorder\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/news\/whizbang-second-title\/8.jpg\" alt=\"The Stern-produced Whoa Nellie!
