It looked like a cool place to stop in and have a beer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/brauer-house\/1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ImageBorder\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/brauer-house\/1.jpg\" alt=\"Brauer House in Lombard\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Brauer House in Lombard<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Hearing that pinball collector and operator Gavin Miller had recently installed six sweet pins there made it the place to visit the following weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The Brauer House was well worth the effort to visit. When you walk into the Brauer House, there are two choices of rooms to proceed to.<\/p>\n<p>To the right is the bar featuring many craft beers on tap, and a grill with a large selection of food.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/brauer-house\/5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ImageBorder\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/brauer-house\/5.jpg\" alt=\"The many beers on tap\" width=\"550\" height=\"422\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The many beers on tap<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>To the left is a room with a few pool tables, a jukebox, and Gavin&#8217;s six pins.<\/p>\n<p>My choice was to go to the right side for a beer and then back to the left side to try out all the pins available.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/brauer-house\/2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ImageBorder\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/brauer-house\/2.jpg\" alt=\"The six pinballs at Brauer House\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The six pinballs at Brauer House: Kiss, Metallica, The Walking Dead, Monster Bash, The Rolling Stones &amp; Dracula<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It was awesome to play pins in their natural habitat &#8211; a dimly lit bar.<\/p>\n<p>Playing the pins, there was no doubt the operator was a collector. The games were very clean and had no issues. My favorite was Williams <em>Dracula<\/em>, which I completely missed out on when it originally came out.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/brauer-house\/3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ImageBorder\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/brauer-house\/3.jpg\" alt=\"Dracula with Monster Bash &amp; The Rolling Stones\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dracula with Monster Bash &amp; The Rolling Stones<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>There has always been a Stern pin on tournament mode the three times I have been there so far.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/brauer-house\/4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ImageBorder\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pinballnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/brauer-house\/4.jpg\" alt=\"Metallica is the Tournament machine\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Metallica is the ToPS Tournament machine<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Brauer House often features live music.
