Welcome to the UK Pinball Tournaments
Welcome to the UK Pinball Tournaments at the UK Pinball Party 2011
 BACK TO THE PARTY

We brought you an unrivalled range of tournaments at this year's UK Pinball Party, starting with the UK Pinball team Tournament on Friday evening, through the UK Pinball Open on Saturday, to the UK Pinball Classic on Sunday.

Plus we had two UK Pinball Kids Tournaments on Saturday and Sunday, and the UK Pinball High Score Shootout running all weekend.

We awarded a huge number of trophies, medals, certificates and cash prizes to the top players in each tournament, all presented by the head of Jersey Jack Pinball, Jack Guarnieri who was our special guest at the UK Pinball Party all weekend.

The UK Pinball Team Tournament kicked off the action at 7pm on Friday evening, with the maximum number of 16 teams pre-registered and raring to go.  The Team Tournament was the perfect way to get the competitive juices flowing, and have fun playing against other teams from across Europe.

The UK Pinball Open saw our biggest field ever for a one day tournament, with 99 players taking part in the qualifying session which began at 10am on Saturday and continued until 4pm.

The top 24 players went through to the A Division, but new for 2011 was the B Division where the next 16 qualifiers had the opportunity to play for the challenging B Division Champion title.

2011 brought us a new UK Pinball Open champion, while some big names dropped out early or failed to make the final four. Who made it through to the end and who dropped by the wayside?  Find out below.

The UK Pinball Classic brought some old-skool action to the competitive mix with eight pre-dot-matrix games set up to challenge even the best players.

From Defender by Williams to Bally's Dolly Parton and Zaccaria's Combat, everyone was welcome to try pinball as it was in the '70s and '80s.  No ball save, no modes and hardly any multiballs meant ball control and nudging skills were in demand as players battled the forces of gravity and the game designer's cunning.

The top players on each game went through to the semi-finals and the top two from those went into the final.  We had a new Classic winner for 2011 and some interesting results in the final placings too.

Full details of all the players, the points they scored, their qualifying positions and the eventual winners in every tournament can be found in the Pinball News UK Pinball Party 2011 report which you can read by clicking here.

Thanks to everyone who came to support our tournaments this year.  We look forward to seeing you back at the UK Pinball Party in 2012.
