 BACK TO THE PARTY

Thank you to everyone who competed in our events and every team member who helped to make this year's tournaments the best ever.

We brought you an unrivalled range of tournaments at this year's UK Pinball Party, starting with the UK Pinball Team Tournament on Friday evening, through the UK Pinball Open on Saturday, to the UK Pinball Classic on Sunday.

Plus we also had two UK Pinball Kids Tournaments - one on Saturday and another on Sunday - which were even more popular than ever.

Once again, we awarded a combination of trophies, medals, certificates and cash prizes to the top players in each tournament, all presented by the special guest at the UK Pinball Party weekend, Mark Ritchie.

The UK Pinball Team Tournament kicked off the action at 7pm on Friday evening, with a 16 teams of four players.  The Team Tournament is always the perfect way to get the competitive juices flowing and have fun by playing against other teams from across Europe. Congratulations to the Surrey Pinball team for their victory.

The UK Pinball Open is the premier UK tournament and it was back at the UK Pinball Party this year.  The qualifying session began at 10am on Saturday and continued until 4pm.

The top 24 players then went through to the A Division play-offs.  We also brough back last year's successful B Division, where the next 16 qualifiers had the opportunity to play for the challenging B Division Champion title in their own series of play-offs.

Congratulations to Nicolas Linqué on his win in the Open and to Joël Wozniak for coming top in the B Division.

The UK Pinball Classic always brings some old-skool action to the competitive mix with eight pre-dot-matrix games set up to challenge even the best players.

This year we had a real eclectric mixture from Lucky Fruit and Fire Mountain to Rollergames and Haunted House. Ball control and nudging skills were in demand as players battled the forces of gravity and the game designer's cunning.

The top players on each game went through to the two semi-finals and the top two from those played in the final.

Congratulations to Greg Mott who won this year's UK Pinball Classic.

Full details of all the players, the points they scored, their qualifying positions and the eventual winners in every tournament can be found in the Pinball News UK Pinball Party 2012 report which you can read by clicking here.

Thanks to everyone who supports our tournaments each year.  You made this the best year ever.
