PINBALL WIZARD ARCADE |
Date: April 2011 Report by Douglas Mahar The big buzz this year going around the Boston Pinball Association is the news of a brand new arcade right in our back yard.
Pinball Wizard Arcade is a brand new facility located in Pelham, New Hampshire, USA. The arcade is owned and operated by Sarah St. John, an Electrical Engineer with over 25 years of experience. Sarah owns, repairs and operates all the pinball and video games in the arcade. She also owns and operates My Arcade Repair LLC - a video game and pinball repair business. When you walk into the Pinball Wizard Arcade you will find skee ball, redemption games, billiard tables, almost 160 video games and more than 80 pinball machines, all of which are in pristine condition.
The pinball line-up goes like this:
Phew!
You can watch a video of the games in row 1 by clicking on the picture below. Most pinball is priced at two tokens but some of the newer games are set to three.
Here's a video of the games in row 2.
There's also a video of row 3's games below. One very unusual game you will find here - one of the rarest games on the planet - is a Taito "Ice Cold Beer." This is a very challenging game where you try to move a small ball bearing up a vertical field of beer bubble holes.
Sarah also has a party room in back with its own mini-arcade, including a line-up of a half-dozen pinballs as you can see in the video below. Sarah says she also has 6,000 square feet available in the building set aside for future events, be it pinball-related shows or tournaments.
Pinball Wizard Arcade is located at 150 Bridge Street in Pelham, New Hampshire, less than an hour away from Boston, Portsmouth and Manchester NH.
