Although there are no new machine reveals this month, there are still two new titles and loads of interesting news for Martin from Pinball News  and Jonathan from Pinball Magazine to report in this August edition of the Pinball Industry News PINcast.

Yet another Star Wars game is on the way from Stern Pinball.  This time it’s a full ‘cornerstone’ model with Pro, Premium and Limited Edition variants, but for the first time it won’t be available in all geographic regions.  The final reveal of Star Wars: Fall of the Empire has been somewhat drawn out too, so get the latest on when we can expect to see the full game and where it will be available to play.

There’s also news of a new King Kong topper, a sale on merchandise and mods at the Stern shop, and details of all the latest new features in the game code updates.

But if spending thousands on a new game is out of your price range, how about getting one for free?  That’s what Multimorphic are offering for the P3 pinball platform as Elemental Pinball is made available as a free download for all P3 machine owners.

The cloud of US import tariffs continues to hang over most industries, and pinball is certainly no exception.  Dutch Pinball Exclusive and Pinball Brothers have both made announcements on steps they are taking to mitigate the impact of the tariffs on their customers.

Meanwhile, Pinball Brothers have already called time on their new Predator release, with both it and Alien reaching the end of the line at the end of the year.  With only around 100 still available, time is running out if you had a Predator in your sights.

News from American Pinball too where, after adding Funsup Manufacturing to their Aimtron affiliations, there’s a new Orbit Games brand added to the mix.  Martin and Jonathan try to make sense of the different company names and what it means for American Pinball, as the sale prices of their remaining inventory continues to drop.

There’s lots more product news from companies actually building games and add-ons, and new code from Barrels of Fun, Spooky and Pedretti.

Then, it’s time for the latest edition of What’s Cooking? With… as Roger Sharpe joins the PINcast to share his favourite Thanksgiving recipe.  But that’s not all, as the licensing guru gives us his take on Star Wars licensing as well as the wider trend toward fragmenting licences by geographic region.  Roger also talks about the new range of Roger Sharpe branded merchandise, with T-shirts available now and much more coming soon.

There’s all this and much more in this latest packed PINcast episode covering August and, to bring you all the very latest news, the first two days of September too.
