May 2026 PINcast
There’s a strong sense of déjà vu this month as three familiar pinball titles return in new forms, as Martin and Jonathan reveal in the latest May 2026 edition of the Pinball Industry News PINcast.

It was fifteen years ago that Stern Pinball released their first Transformers-based title, but the Autobots and Decepticons have returned in the new Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye game. Martin got the opportunity to play it at a trade event in London and to also talk to Gary Stern and John Buscaglia from Stern Pinball, as the company looks to cut prices and boost sales through changes to their European distribution arrangements.

From one cartoon series to another, as Wonderland Amusement bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back to pinball with the opening of preorders for their World of TMNT: Battle in the Sewer.  There are two versions available and discounts for buyers of the company’s first release, along with news of game features and estimated shipping dates.

The third title making a return comes from Pedretti Gaming as they confirm Tales of the Arabian Nights as their next remake game.  There’s also news of another remake title they were developing before that particular project ran into problems.

Martin also visited the first Austrian Pinball Festival where, besides hosting a prize quiz, he also recorded talks given by Harry Potter designer, Eric Meunier, Hexa Pinball’s Alice Lemoine, and homebrew evangelists Aaron Davis of FAST Pinball and Brian Savage of Mission Pinball Framework fame.  Find out where you can see them.

Eric also took time out from the show to share his favourite go-to recipe, which he shares with us in the latest edition of What’s Cooking? with…

May was also the month for the Licensing Expo show in Las Vegas, where representatives from several pinball companies could be found exploring potential new game themes.

There’s also a look ahead to the impending launch of the new game from Steve Ritchie at Jersey Jack Pinball and where you might get to play it, plus more pinball production updates from American and Dutch Pinball amongst others.

March is often the time for new game announcements, and this year certainly didn’t disappoint with of two new reveals, one updated classic and one upcoming reimagined game, all discussed by Martin and Jonathan in the March 2026 Pinball Industry News PINcast.

Turner Pinball made a surprise reveal of their third title, Yukon Yeti, just ahead of the Texas Pinball Festival and brought two machines along for visitors to play.  This follow-up by Dennis Nordman to his classic Whitewater game has striking similarities, but adds more shots, deeper rules and a novel ball climber lock mechanism.

Although their machines didn’t clear US customs in time to appear at the Texas show, Hexa Pinball launched their second title, The 3 Musketeers, with a reveal at an art gallery in France.  Although no gameplay videos have been released yet, the game will be available to play at selected upcoming shows in the US.

After last month launch, Stern Pinball’s new Pokémon game made its way to Texas for its first show appearance in Pro and Premium forms, while the design team made a presentation about how the new title was created.

While Martin and Jonathan were in Texas, they took time out to visit the factories of Barrels of Fun and Multimorphic and talk to David van Es and Gerry Stellenberg.  Gerry is also the guest in the latest edition of What’s Cooking? With… where he shares his favourite dish and also talks more about the pinball business and the latest developments at Multimorphic.

February 2026 PINcast
There might only have been 28 days in February, but those four weeks were packed full of exciting news from the pinball world, as you can discover by joining Martin from Pinball News and Jonathan from Pinball Magazine with the latest edition of their Pinball Industry News PINcast.

After weeks of delays, Stern Pinball got to launch their new Pokémon game.  Based on the hugely popular global franchise spanning console games, mobile games, comics, movies, animated TV series, trading cards and much more, this latest Stern ‘cornerstone’ game comes in the familiar three models but includes many unusual features in the artwork, on the playfield and in the software.

Meanwhile, there were big changes over at Dutch Pinball Exclusive (DPX) as co-founder of the brand and owner of the game designs, Melvin Brouwer-Williams, splits with manufacturing partner Dutch Pinball.  The remaining Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland games will still be built, but Alice will be the one-and-only DPX title, while there are further delays announced for the game’s topper.

It wasn’t long before Melvin was back in the spotlight when he was introduced as the new Creative Director at American Pinball, responsible for the development of the rebooted company’s upcoming titles.

To find out much more about the split with Dutch Pinball and his new role at American Pinball, Martin talked with Melvin to get the inside details of what really happened, the big plans for the new American Pinball, and to also find out what this means for the Retro Atomic Zombie Adventureland and Cuphead games.

Over in Italy, the head of Pedretti Gaming gives an interview to a local news site where he talks about the collaboration with Pinball Brothers, where their co-produced games end up, and how they need to transition to appeal to the next generation of players.

The show season is in full swing, so there’s a review of the recent Pinball at the Beach show, who was there and what they were showing, as well as a look ahead to March’s Texas Pinball Festival (TPF).

TPF promises to be the first non-trade showing of Stern’s new Pokémon, but it will also feature the launch of Hexa Pinball’s second title, The Three Musketeers.  It’s also the only show in the US where you can catch Martin and Jonathan’s So You Think You Know Pinball? free prize quiz (Saturday, 5pm).

There are plenty of changes at this year’s TPF, so to find out more Martin and Jonathan talk to show organiser, Paul McKinney, to discover his personal highlights and find out why you need to be in Frisco for this year’s show.

January 2026 PINcast
The first month of 2026 certainly brought us plenty of excitement in the pinball world, even though we didn’t get any of the eagerly anticipated new game launches. So, join Martin from Pinball News and Jonathan from Pinball Magazine as they bring you all the details in the January 2026 edition of the Pinball Industry News PINcast.

After many months of inactivity, American Pinball jumped into the spotlight as the business was sold by previous owners, Aimtron. The new owner has been sharing his plans for the company with an ambitious production schedule and the need to rebuild trust in the brand.

Those production plans took shape a few days later when a licensing deal with Planetary Pinball saw American Pinball secure the rights to build ‘re-imagined’ versions of seven classic Williams/Bally titles. Find out when we might get to see the first of those.

Stern Pinball traditionally launches their first ‘cornerstone’ title of the year in early January so they can promote it at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Not this year though, as the game has been pushed back until at least February, with the Texas Pinball Festival in mid-March saying they will showcase the first publicly-available games.

With no new Stern game to show and the company’s current title, Star Wars: Fall of the Empire, not available in Europe, London’s EAG Expo show needed something to lift the spirits of pinball fans. So, Martin and Jonathan sat down with Gary Stern and John Buscaglia to talk about Stern Pinball’s plans, the state of the licensing business, how they plan to expand European sales, and much more, including a couple of their favourite recipes.

Meanwhile, Jersey Jack Pinball have launched a new 3D Game Viewer tool to let you explore the Harry Potter Collectors Edition game close up and from every angle. You can even use Augmented Reality to see how one look in your home or gameroom.

There are big changes taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, as Classic Playfield Reproductions downsize their business following the retirement of their President and co-founder. A month-long clearance sale has launched on their website too.

To find out more, Jonathan and Martin interview co-founder and new President, Kevin Wayte, to explore the past two decades’ rollercoaster ride of reproducing playfields, backglasses and plastic sets, and discover the plans for CPR’s future.

There’s also news of new team members at Pedretti Gaming, the end of Predator sales, delivery plans for Alice Goes To Wonderland games, where you’ll be able to see Hexa Pinball’s new The Three Musketeers, a new tutorial video and software development kit from Multimorphic, plus details of what’s going to be available at the upcoming Pinball at the Beach show in Florida.
